Rants and Raves: Lower home value lessens taxes (The Florida Times-Union)
Something good can come from the real estate bust. I would like to thank the Jacksonville Property Appraiser's Office for reducing the assessed value on my home, which will lead to me paying less in property taxes. I haven't seen any documentation regarding the reduction or anything in the newspapers about reduced assessments. You guys are going to reduce my assessment, aren't you?
