Night owls working on campus might find their offices a bit chillier in the winter and warmer in the summer as the University of Illinois ramps up its energy-conservation measures. The UI wants to cut energy use in existing buildings by 10 percent in three years and roll it back to 1990 levels within five years under a plan announced Thursday.
