Search Engines Directory: The Search Engines online directory of All Sites Sorted.

A search engine is an information source providing a user interface accessing a searchable database of Interent websites. Typically the search engine provider uses a spider or search robot to scan Internet pages, following links on each page to arrive at a database of Internet content. The database access algorithm determines the ranking of web pages found in each search query by the users of the search engine. Search results can vary from search provider to search provider depending on the ranking algorithm used. The largest search engine is Google, and other leading search engines are Yahoo!, MSN Live Search, Ask.com, and AOL.

In this Search Engine Directory, listings of search engines and search results aggregators are provided. Users can submit other search engines or search aggregators to this directry as found.
