A wide range of award-winning restaurants, tea shops, pubs and coffee shops offering local food and drink are situated in the ancient picturesque town of Lostwithiel, which is located in mid-Cornwall in the south-west of England. Lostwithiel is in the valley of the River Fowey about five miles from the Eden Project.

The town has a population of just about 2000 people but the many eating establishments are able to offer gourmet standards of locally sourced Cornish produce carefully prepared to suit the most discerning of taste buds.

Local baker, Lostwithiel Bakery, makes all their bread and cakes on premises. The town also features a long standing independent butcher who sources his meat from within the county of Cornwall. A significant farming enterprise located in the area is Trewithen Cornish Farm Dairy, who produces yogurt, milk, butter, and famous Cornish clotted cream.

Lostwithiel also has a regular Produce Market where farmers located in the surrounding area come into town to sell their high quality fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and other items.
